Instructions on how to correctly enter full HVAC electrification into Snugg Pro

Updated this week

Fully replacing a gas or other fossil fuel heating systems with heat pumps can be practical and achievable in the pursuit of electrification and decarbonization.

The first step is to accurately input the existing system into the HVAC section of Snugg Pro. This will help ensure proper calibration of the existing home. Then, the Upgrade action for the existing furnace and AC should be "Remove a system permanently". The next step is to click "Add an HVAC system", choose "System equipment type" as "Central Heat Pump" (or whatever the recommended system is), and "Upgrade action" should be, "Install a new non-existing system". This will accurately model an ASHP as the new HVAC system and improve the precision of the Solutions and Metrics pages of the report.
