NYSERDA Requirements for Duct Leakage

The NYSERDA program is requiring that you use the Measured CFM25 duct testing method for duct leakage, and measured R value for duct insulation. This pertains to both the HVAC section of the input screen, and the improved fields for the Seal Duct Work recommendation screen.

When entering the distribution systems in the HVAC systems, be sure that you choose the "measured cfm25" option from the dropdown list for the duct leakage, this will open additional fields for the values.

For the duct insulation, choose the Measured R Value option.

On the Seal Duct Work recommendation, the improved fields also need to be indicated as measured.

The job will be rejected during the upload process if the duct leakage is entered with one of the percentage options.
