SCE/SoCalGas® Home Upgrade and SoCalGas® Home Upgrade Programs

For best results, Snugg Pro highly recommends you choose the Custom Path for all jobs performed in the SCE & SoCalGas programs.

Instructions for uploading and entering data from Snugg Pro to the program webapp portals.

You can only select approved program measures, all others must be Noted or Declined. Please refer to the most current veriosn of approved measures from your program.

Thermostat Set Points

  • Improved thermostat set points can not be recommended, they must be noted or declined. However, it is important to include setpoints for modeling base values.

  • If you are using the Default Path, you should use the default setpoints as shown below

  • If you are using the Custom Path, you should use actual setpoints.

  • After modeling, you must move the improved setpoint measure to noted or declined. The setpoints are viewed as being a behavioral measure, and there is no guarantee that the homeowners will maintain the setpoints.

Pool Pumps

  • These programs do not allow Pool Pumps to be recommended in Snugg Pro. The Rebate for pool pumps can be requested while entering data into the portal.

  • If you are using the Default Path, with no utility bills, do not model the pool pump. You do have the option to add an additional note informing the homeowner that the pool pump rebate is available, if applicable.

  • If you are using the Custom Path with full detailed utility bills, you must model the existing pool pump for base values. You can then move the pool pump measure from recommended to NOTES, to let the homeowners know of the pending rebate.

  • The rebate amount is listed as $1264.50. please always verfiy this amount with the program.

  • These Programs give a set dollar amount for all pool pump upgrades regardless of the energy modeling results, so if you modeled and recommended the pool pumps in Snugg Pro, the rebates might not match the pre-set amount. So the Programs have asked that the modeling not be included in the app.

Create a reservation (audit stage) once it has been approved by homeowner.

  • Enter pre-retrofit project information into the portal

  • You will be required to enter the base and (proposed) improved - therms, kwh, and KW - from the metrics.

  • You have the option to upload the homeowner’s utility bills - if you have them - but you must at least have homeowner’s utility bill account numbers.

  • Do not upload the xml file at this stage, uploading a pdf of the report is optional.

Finalize the job with the post-retrofit data (retrofit stage).

  • Requires the test out data for improved fields

  • Requires “name of system” on input fields (where available).

    • HVAC & Refrigerators.

  • Requires model numbers (existing and improved) for all recommended equipment & appliances.

    • Base (existing) model numbers may be entered as “don’t know” if you do not have them.

    • Improved equipment model numbers are required, manufacturer is optional.

    • HVAC equipment, Water heater, Appliances, Pool Pumps.

  • The job will be rejected if these requirements are missing.

Upload both the final HPXML file and a PDF of the homeowner report.

  • It is extremely important to do one last model on the job before you create the xml file. This will insure that all of your changes are reflected in the report, which includes model numbers and names of systems.

Examples of xml file errors that you will receive if you have missing data. Please contact support if you need help correcting any of these errors. Any non-approved measures will show at the bottom of the list.
