Managing Trade Allies In Your Program
Managing Trade Allies In Your Program
Updated over a year ago

In this article, we'll cover how Program Admins and Program Super Users can do the following:

  1. Invite trade allies to join a program

  2. Rescind & resend pending invitations

  3. Manage active and suspended trade allies

1. Invite a Trade Ally Company to join a Program

To invite a trade ally,

  1. Click on the Settings menu in the left sidebar (a.k.a. the primary side bar)

  2. Select Your Programs

  3. Choose the program for which you'd like to invite trade allies.

  4. Select the Trade Allies tab

  5. Click on the button send invite button and follow the instruction on the screen...

What happens when you invite a Trade Ally...

We'll ask you for the likely company name, the name of a contact person and their email ID. Snugg Pro will then send an invite to the email ID you provided.

We ask for a 'likely company name' because the invite does not strictly enforce the company name. Company names are prone to misspellings and variations ("Tunergy, Inc" vs. "Tunergy", "Acme Audits Company" vs. "Acme Audits Co." etc...). This means the recipient of the invite could end up joining with a different company name than the one you invited. We log this difference in case there is ever a need to understand the context of a trade ally joining the program. You should think of an invite as a one-time pass to join your program, so send them out wisely.

Once a trade ally accepts your invitation, they have permission to create jobs within the program.

Note: Unclaimed invitations expire automatically after 30 days, after which, you'll need to re-invite the recipient.

2. Rescind & resend pending invitations

While an invitation is pending, it will appear in the Pending Invitations section of the page, where you'll be able to see the information that you added in the invite form. You also have the option to manually resend the invitation email or to delete the invitation, which will disable the link.

3. Manage active and suspended Trade Allies

Suspend an active Trade Ally Company

You can view all currently active trade allies in the Active Companies section of the Trade Allies screen. This list shows the name and date that each company joined the program, as well as a count (at the top) of all of the active Trade Allies.

If you need to remove a Trade Ally from your program, you can click on 'Suspend'. This will remove their ability to create new Jobs within the program, however it will not remove their access to historical Jobs that they performed within the program:

Activate a suspended trade ally company

You will also see a list of Suspended Companies on your Trade Allies Tab. You can activate a Suspended Company by clicking 'Activate' on the list for that Company.
